Chinese Debating Team won first runner-up in the The Hong Kong Bar Association Debating Competition 2023

We are thrilled to announce that the WYC Chinese Debating Team has won first runner-up in The Hong Kong Bar Association Debating Competition 2023 (Chinese Tournament). The team, consisting of Tsan Tsz Yu, Chan Hoi Ting, Au Pui Yiu, and Ma Sze Sum, competed against 15 secondary schools and showcased outstanding talent and teamwork throughout the competition. The Grand Final, which took place at The High Court on 8 July 2023, was a highly anticipated event, and Tsan Tsz Yu was awarded the title of Best Debater in the Grand Final.

The Hong Kong Bar Association Debating Competition is an annual event organized by the Standing Committee on Young Barristers, with a focus on debate motions related to the rule of law. The competition aims to encourage students to explore socio-legal issues and develop their advocacy skills.
