WYC team won best report award in the CUHK Competition on System Modeling & Optimization 2023

Congratulations to Lo Wing Yin and Tang Kwan Ho for receiving the best report award out of 47 participating teams in the Competition on System Modeling & Optimization (COSMO) 2023. The event took the form of a case study competition on building mathematical models and formulating solutions for airline route planning among competitive players under a tight time constraint. The team was tested in terms of their presentation and oral defense skills in the finals.

Co-organized by the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Association for Computer Education, COSMO aimed to encourage students to study mathematics and try to improve their ability in building system model, use of mathematical method and computer technology to solve problems.
