WYC team awarded in the BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge

With our students’ innovative sensitivity and aesthetic prowess towards the iconic Hong Kong trams, the team of Kwok Pak Hei and Chung Chak Ho was awarded with the Best Innovation Award in the first citywide transportation-themed design thinking STEAM competition BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge. They were also awarded the Audience Choice Award and Merit award.

Organized by Tramplus, the Grand Challenge invited all secondary school teams in Hong Kong to submit STEAM proposals aimed at modernizing the iconic Hong Kong trams to incorporate smart mobility and sustainability. After a rigorous evaluation of the competitive proposals by professional judges, our team was shortlisted and participated in the BuilDING Our Future Grand Challenge finale on 2 December 2023 at the M+ Learning Hub.

This competition represents an excellent opportunity to showcase our students' STEAM skills and their readiness to innovate for the future of Hong Kong. Congratulations to the team!
