Welcome to the official website of Wa Ying College. It is an honor and my great pleasure to introduce to you about Wa Ying, and my belief in educating our youth.
Endowed with our founders’ vision in education, it has been our central mission to provide a well-rounded education based on biblical principles, fostering a balanced development in moral, intellectual, physical, social, aesthetic and spiritual spheres. It has been our aim to guide students to lead an abundant life in Christ, with self-confidence, a serving heart, and having their potentials developed to the fullest. Over the past years, the school has worked towards these goals envisioned by our founders.
As the principal in this school, it is my duty to help better the lives every teacher and student live. According to the Bible, what we do in our life on earth builds a foundation that will be tested in the future. It is therefore always in my heart to invite everyone of us in this school to discover our potentials, to acquire open hearts, to live a disciplined and caring life.
Discover our talents and potentials. We believe that God has given everyone of us unique talents that He wants us to nurture and to use, so it is our core value to invite our students be brave to dream, and share the talents and potentials with friends and teachers around us. Teachers are always willing to support students on their journey of self-discovery, and building up strength.
Open our hearts. We encourage our students to open our hearts to God, who is our heavenly father and who is always there to welcome us when we seek. We also encourage them to open their hearts to teachers, who are here to guide them during their school life, especially when they are lost or confused. Guiding students grow is always our teachers’ priority.
A disciplined life. To be succeeding in every step of our lives, we need to nurture a disciplined life. Without good self-control, our talents, potentials and commitment cannot come true. We must also learn to control their emotions, keep their spirits regardless of the challenges they face.
A caring life. We should use our talents and potentials to develop and to serve others. The world will not be better unless we commit to love and care. When we’re stronger and more talented in something, be willing to humble ourselves and help those around us. If we’re good at a language but our friends couldn’t speak well, help them. If we feel we’re strong at Mathematics and Science, help the classmates who are not. Also, remind ourselves that a lot of people in society are not as fortunate as we are. Be willing to reach out and to serve.
Wa Ying is a college with strong belief and culture. In the coming future, we will continue to nurture and be nurtured, through loving and caring for each other. May we share our visions and work hard together, to glorify God.
