By the grace of God, and with the trust and support of The Methodist Church, Hong Kong and the Incorporated Management Committee, I am deeply honoured and grateful to join the warm and caring family of Wa Ying College as Principal from this academic year. It is a privilege to serve alongside our dedicated staff and outstanding students as we journey forward together.

Wa Ying College is blessed with a professional and caring team of educators who are committed to Biblical truths and Christian values. Together, we seek to inspire students to think critically, act responsibly, and realise their unique potential. The school has fostered a caring and dynamic learning environment where every student is valued, respected, and encouraged to flourish. One of the hallmarks of our school has always been the close and positive relationship between teachers and students. Through mutual trust, encouragement, and understanding, we build a community where students develop confidence, enjoy learning, and pursue personal excellence.

In the mid of twenty-first century, education must prepare young people not only to acquire knowledge but also to respond wisely to emerging challenges. Looking ahead, Wa Ying College shall continue to strengthen curriculum development and innovative pedagogies so that our students can achieve academic success while growing in character and spiritual maturity. We also aim to strengthen their problem-solving abilities, creativity, application of knowledge, interpersonal skills and collaborative competence, empowering them to become responsible and capable future leaders.

Secondary education is a formative stage in life during which character, values and aspirations are shaped and strengthened. At Wa Ying College, learning extends beyond the classroom. Through Other Learning Experiences, students are encouraged to participate in sports, music, visual arts, dance and drama. These valuable platforms cultivate teamwork, self-discipline, resilience, leadership and perseverance, equipping students for lifelong learning and service.

“ You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)

The 2026-2027 academic year will mark the 55th Anniversary of Wa Ying College's re-establishment in Hong Kong. Anchored in the faith, hope, love and wisdom that God graciously provides, I look forward to journeying together with our outstanding students and dedicated staff towards new horizons. With the unwavering support and blessings of parents, alumni and community partners, Wa Ying College will continue to soar on wings like eagles and write a new chapter of excellence and faithful service.
