Beijing English Debate and Peer Counselling Study Tour
29 June, 2026

Building on the collaborative ties with our sister school, Beijing National Day Experimental School, our talented English Debaters and Peer Counsellors embarked on an unforgettable five-day Beijing Study Tour from 25 June to 29 June 2026, where intellectual dialogue, student leadership, and cross-cultural exchange blended together seamlessly.

The tour commenced at Beijing National Day Experimental School, where our students immersed themselves in interactive discussions and co-learning activities. Our Peer Counsellors took the initiative to detail their hands-on experiences with student wellness and campus support frameworks, highlighting our school's 4R policy and CGC initiatives. Additionally, our English Debating Team participated in a friendly debate, arguing the motion: “This house believes that the decline of humanities subjects in higher education is a crisis.” This shared experience not only deepened the rapport between students from both cities but also offered a valuable platform for our representatives to exchange perspectives and learn alongside their peers.

Outside the formal academic settings, the delegation immersed themselves in the cultural and historical grandeur of the nation's capital. A major highlight was exploring the architectural marvels of the Forbidden City, an experience that inspired deep reflections on the traditional philosophy of Tian Ren He Yi (天人合一), the harmony between humanity and nature, which they later shared in a night presentation. On the final day at Tsinghua University, students led conversations with alumni while teachers stepped back, bringing the excursion to a meaningful close.
