From 25 to 29 June 2026, a group of enthusiastic students stepped out of the classroom and embarked on an immersive five-day educational excursion to Kunming, Yunnan. The program aimed to cultivate students' respect for national history, showcase the country's achievements in cultural and environmental conservation, and foster a deep sense of pride in the nation's heritage.

The diverse itinerary combined natural exploration with profound historical learning across multiple renowned landmarks. Students examined striking geological formations and weathering processes through field visits to the awe-inspiring South China Karst and the Jiuxiang Scenic Area. Transitioning from the natural world to ancient history, participants analyzed paleontological wonders at the Lufeng World Dinosaur Valley and explored regional heritage at the Yunnan Provincial Museum. The learning continued with vibrant cultural and ecological experiences, including dedicated visits to the Yunnan Ethnic Village, Guandu Ancient Town, the historic Daguan Pavilion, and the ecologically diverse Kunming Botanical Garden.

By bridging textbook concepts with real-world observations, the study tour provided students with an enriching platform for holistic development. Participants gained valuable firsthand insights into how geological conservation directly impacts the local environment and sustains people's livelihoods. The excursion was a resounding success, deepening the students' understanding of complex natural processes while reinforcing the critical importance of preserving traditional culture to safeguard national cultural security.
