Congratulations to Ng Yuk Hay on his remarkable achievement in the 2024/25 Statistical Project Competition for Secondary School Students, co-organized by the Hong Kong Statistical Society and the Education Bureau. Among over 220 entries, Yuk Hay’s project, titled “Addressing Hong Kong's Healthcare Crisis: The Impact of Aging Population and Doctor Shortages”, stood out and earned him the Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited Second Prize for the Junior Section, as well as the Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited Prize for the Best Index Application for the Junior Section. In recognition of his exceptional work, he also received book coupons worth HKD 3,600.

Since 1986, the competition has served as a platform to enhance secondary school students’ skills in research methods, statistical analysis, and problem-solving. It inspires participants to apply statistical knowledge to address real-world challenges.
