WYC student awarded Best Speaker Award at the HKCPEC Youth Programme 2024/2025 Model PECC – Innovating through Youth Voices
6 July, 2025

Our students Lo Shanice, Yu Ka Yu, and Tai King Hung Carson recently participated in the Hong Kong Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (HKCPEC) Youth Programme 2024/2025 – "Model PECC – Innovating through Youth Voices". The programme was co-organised by the HKCPEC and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) Leadership Institute.

Competing against 74 teams, our students demonstrated exceptional public speaking skills and proposed innovative, pragmatic strategies to address regional economic development and cooperation. Since March, participants have engaged in a variety of enrichment activities, including seminars, workshops, and a 24-hour case study challenge. Out of the 74 teams, our team was successfully shortlisted as one of the top 11.

During the Model PECC event, held on 5 and 6 July, each shortlisted team represented a PECC Member Committee. Teams conducted in-depth research, developed policy recommendations on a designated topic, and presented their findings in a simulated PECC meeting.

We are thrilled to announce that Yu Ka Yu was awarded the Best Speaker Award for her outstanding performance. Congratulations to Ka Yu on this remarkable achievement!
