This academic year, our junior and senior students participated in cross-border scientific exchange programs under the "New Era Dream Building Project" to broaden their horizons in national scientific and technological developments. Exploring key themes of Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace, New Energy, and Engineering Technology, the project offered a progressive, two-phase immersive learning experience designed to nurture our aspiring engineers and scientists.
Organized into small groups of ten students and one teacher, participants first joined the "Scientific Innovation Aspiration Exploration" (科創志向探索) excursion to Fujian from 8 to 12 April 2026. Focusing heavily on clean energy and advanced manufacturing, our students visited key industrial hubs, including the CATL lithium battery production base, Fuzhou New Area Smart Vehicle Industry Base, and the Fuqing Nuclear Power Plant, alongside prominent academic institutions such as Xiamen University and Fuzhou University.
Following this solid foundation, ten outstanding students were selected to participate in the "Deep Scientific Innovation Practice Training Camp" (深度創科實踐訓練營) in Beijing from 20 to 29 July 2026. Centered on the theme of New Energy Vehicles, the summer camp immersed students in expert lectures on hydrogen energy supply chains and advanced battery technologies, complemented by an inspiring visit to Xiaomi’s EV facility to inspect cutting-edge models. Putting theory into action, students collaborated under the guidance of mainland innovation mentors to design, assemble, wire, and test a functional solar-assisted electric vehicle prototype from scratch. Their exceptional teamwork, technical skill, and persuasive defense earned them the prestigious Best Presentation Award at the final showcase.
These excursions provided our students with invaluable exposure to green energy, automotive technology, and national innovations. By bridging theoretical knowledge with hands-on engineering and competitive presentation, the project laid a solid foundation for our students' future pursuits in STEAM fields.
